OEM Buyer

Position Core Role:
Daily management of suppliers for all Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), export, service, repair, and exceptional ordered parts. Including ordering, receiving verification, Delivery Trouble Report (DTR) and design change issuance and follow up supplier performance, reporting, compensation request assessment
Monitor Inventory Levels
Coordinate with Purchasing Department Projects
Work with complex Suppliers on Delivery Improvement to assure HMIN Long term Production Stability
Complex Supplier control
Lead and participate in special projects to achieve better efficiency and cost down activities
Essential Function and Responsibilities
Basic business knowledge concerning purchasing and finance
Basic understanding of systems
Basic understanding of transportation and logistics
Supply Chain knowledge
Fundamentals of project management
Basic understanding of Inventory Control
Daily Tasks:
Part Ordering, Receiving, Inventory Control
Supplier Trouble Reports
Design Change Control
Special Projects
Cost Improvement Opportunities
Summarize and Report Gaps
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):
Follow Up Skills (ability to assure success through check points)
Project Management, ability to focus on key activities and flexibility to respond.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Understanding of production scheduling and material flow concepts.
Computer system skills.
Strong communication skills verbal and written.
Flexibility and Priority Management ( adapt to fast pace environment)
Required experience (Type and Length of Time):
No experience required with related degree. If no related degree, then 2 years of experience in related field required.
Education Requirements
4 year degree in related field or 2 years' experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
