Position Core Role:
Responsible for being plant expert for all design and complex issues and leading multiple departments to close issues.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
Immediate response, analysis, containment and countermeasure application for complex manufacturing problems during vehicle Mass Production.
Lead teams, that including manufacturing and purchasing departments, in complex problem analysis, problem management to closure and creation of full analysis summary reports.
Support product market concern investigations including feedback to applicable departments and countermeasure for manufacturing caused issues for responsible vehicle system.
Evaluate vehicle design change notices from R&D (including New Models) for impact to complete vehicle and interact with purchasing, manufacturing departments and other plants for application timing judgment.
Act as final approver and plant liaison to R&D facilities for plant design change requests.
Lead and support problem solving activity through New Model development.
Vehicle system responsibility for overall product specification development and design layout verification impact to manufacturing capability during New Model development.
Lead new technology development, for respective system, during New Model activity for the manufacturing plant. Systems may include: Fuel, Intake, Exhaust, Cooling, ECU, Engine/Transmission and Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH).
Perform Mass Production NVH and drivability sampling on vehicles to confirm in-house quality.
Responsible for testing prototype vehicles in-house and support environmental caravans throughout North America. Responsibilities include but not limited to: ECU data acquisition, OBD function verification, on-the-spot vehicle troubleshooting and subjective drivability confirmation.
Daily Tasks:
Utilize variety of tools and methods to analyze root cause for complex problems - determine parts, design, or manufacturing issue.
Lead investigations for complex issues (Mass Production and New Model) to determine responsible department, effectively communicate analysis results, and countermeasures for department buy-in.
Participation in plant New Model Events.
Review design changes and clarify content with other factories in order to set application timing during mass production.
Review and approve design change requests from manufacturing departments; act as plant rep to designers for change negotiation.
New Model Product System Design Analysis through use of 3D Data System (Catia) initiating correction through countermeasure request system. (CRF)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):
Basic understanding of auto parts, systems and functions.
Strong Fundamental Problem Solving Skills.
Basic understanding of product development and reporting results.
Strong Prioritization and Planning.
Lead team meetings and present technical information to variety of audience types.
Multi-task effectively and efficiently.
Hands-on approach problem solving.
Effective Communication.
Strong Computer Skills (MS Office).
Team oriented.
Analysis equipment exposure - portable CMM, software, hand tools.
Catia and/or CAD related system experience.
Analyze and comprehend product drawings.
Ability and desire to worked toward a consensus.
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 months internship/co-op experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering, preferably IE, IET, ME, MET or equivalent experience.
Position Factors:
Multi-Plant / Supplier Interaction.
Japan, Canada, Mexico, Ohio, Alabama, Multi-State Supplier sites (15%-20% business travel).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
