Environmental Engineer

Delta Faucet Company has an awesome opportunity for an Environmental Engineer within our Operations Department!
The Environmental Engineer will research, design, plan, and perform engineering duties in the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental hazards using various engineering disciplines. Work may include effluent treatment, waste management, site remediation, and pollution prevention. The individual will maintain and improve environmental safety, quality, delivery, and cost by identifying and pursuing cost effective and efficient projects, by providing leadership in new process introductions, talent management, and by ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and corporate policy.
Principal Accountabilities:
+ Maintains safe operational facilities
+ Executes environmental strategy
+ Manages the disposal, management and minimization of waste streams
+ Controls and mitigates effluents that have an adverse impact on the environment
+ Conducts site assessments, technical audits, and evaluate the environmental impact on the organization?s industrial operations.
+ Completes environmental reporting including Tier 2, Form R, air permitting, storm water, and various corporate sustainability reports.
+ Uses mathematical techniques and computer modeling to assess or forecast past, present and future environmental problems.
+ Designs, develops, tests and implements technical solutions which actively reduce their negative impact on the environment.
+ Manages the talent within treatment facility and other services
+ Participates in weekly cross facility environmental team meetings
+ Advises plant associates on process/operational inquiries and troubleshoots existing issues
+ Analyzes, maintains, and creates sufficient wastewater capacity for manufacturing
+ Leads validation of new environmental technologies
+ Initiates capital project selection, justification, budgeting, and implementation
+ Works with Quality, Maintenance and Engineering functions to develop and execute wastewater, chemical, and finishing process control plans
+ Learns and applies principles of the Masco Production System (MPS) to improve processes and people and focuses on the key metrics of safety, quality, delivery and cost
+ Responsible for presenting above accountabilities to site and corporate leadership
Education and Experience/Skills:
+ Possess a technical college degree and practical application experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Possess project management and highly developed communication skills.
+ Fiscal understanding / responsibility and negotiating skills required.
+ Working knowledge of IOSHA, IDEM, EPA, and DOT regulations required
+ Highly motivated individual with excellent organization skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office
+ Familiarity with ERP planning and procurement systems, including SAP is desired.
+ Lean Manufacturing experience and use of continuous improvement tools
+ Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desired and Black Belt certification is a plus.
+ Electroplating and Certified Electroplater-Finisher (CEF) certificate is desired.
+ Class D Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation certification required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
