Plastics Engineer
Position Core Role:
Identify process variables with injection molding and associated equipment.
Design soft side and hardship countermeasures to reduce variables. Coordinate activity with manufacturing.
Support training for plastic associates in injection molding.
Lead maturation activities for new model molds, material, and equipment and introduce into mass production.
Create specifications, budgets, and installation plans including schedules, target setting, and task definition for new and modified molds.
Manage projects through all phases including planning, implementation, and verification and reporting.
Work with category leaders to develop characteristic improvement ideas and introduce them into the business plan.
Study ongoing production issues, identify root causes, and develop themes to improve.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
Advanced in injection molding trouble shooting and processing skills.
Setup new mold and lead injection molding trials.
Understand plastic mold design and proficiency to make recommendations to improve tooling.
Can effectively communicate with all levels of management.
Basic understanding of plastic materials.
Daily Tasks:
Interact daily with production, engineering and maintenance associates.
Implement production improvement activities.
Provide technical support, line management, and associate training and development.
Identify ongoing production issues and develop themes to improve them.
Problem analysis, spec development, project planning.
Monitoring mold machine performance and countermeasure activity as needed.
Develop countermeasures for mold parts quality as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills (presentation, written, oral, listening)
Ability to work effectively on a team.
Proficient using Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong project planning and prioritizing and organizing skills.
Self-motivated and takes the initiative.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and function well in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mix of mechanical and electrical capability.
Required Experience:
Minimum of two years with injection molding and processing.
Education Requirements:
BS or BA in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
Honda Factors:
Willing to work overtime as needed with a short notice.
Willing to support off-shift activity as needed.
Ability to travel both domestic and internationally.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
