Ultrasound Tech

Under the direction of the Ultrasound Modality Leader, and the guidance of an American College of Radiology Board Certified Radiologist, the Ultrasonographer performs Ultrasound procedures as requested by a physician. All procedures will be performed in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Associates degree in Allied Health Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology or 4-5 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Must be ARRT Registered in Radiologic Technology and ARDMS Registered in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN. RVT Preferred. Must be able to do vascular ultrasound procedures.
Demonstrates standard knowledge of normal vs. abnormal anatomy. Recognizes and diagnoses disease processes pertinent to exams performed. Cognisant of critical findings and situations and how to address them competently in conjunction with critical thinking skills and good decision making.
Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to abdominal, ob/gyn, vascular, breast, and neurosonography.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
